Inorganic Lab
Water, being a universal solvent, is used in the majority of chemical testing and atomic absorption spectroscopic applications.
It is highly recommended to use deionized laboratory water for atomic absorption analysis and other routine tests.
For sample dilution and preparation of reagents, the use of pure water is highly recommended.
The use of impure water will have direct interference with the chemistry of the tests and will affect the measurements indirectly by introducing errors.
Wash-water contamination with ions may lead to sample and reagent probe contamination.
